Tools used for AI Films

This part is really geeky. I warned you.

The hardware used was my iPhone 15 Pro. Also, my iMac. The software tools used for this included GROK Imagine, from X. This is used to produce several six second segments. The six second segments are then brought into Apples iMovie, where they are strung together. But iMovie does a lot more than just stringing things together. it provides the sound, editing of the clip order, and the ability to cut pieces out of the scenes. iMovie is great. In addition, Apple notes is used for many functions, including blending of disparate, graphical elements of course, the photo program from Apple is used for access to the raw materials. It is also where the little six second Groks are stored. Image Playground from Apple is sometimes used for a starting scene or character.

I have also started to use Gemini by Google. It serves the same purpose as GROK. The video quality is amazing with Gemini. But, I am limited to 38 second clips in a day. On the other hand, with my Groc paid subscription, I have around 200 six second clips per day. Grok, even with their paid subscription, is a little fuzzy on the details of your limits. But, 20 minutes a day is a lot more than 24 seconds per day.

Both of these services allow for unlimited still pictures. In both offer very high-quality stills.

I run Groc on my iPhone. The results are then stored on my iPhone. I have to mess with The rather clumsy photo library interface on the iPhone. But I have gotten pretty good at this.

The output of Gemini is stored on Google server. I must then download it and get it on my iPhone, because that is where I run iMovie. When I am done with iMovie, it is hard to tell what material came from Grok, what from Gemini, and what from the camera.

iMovie is the Lynch pin of my creative process. No matter where the clips come from, they end up in iMovie. iMovie allows for putting clips together, transitions, titles, music, and sound effects. It is a fantastic tool. The output is an mp4 file. sometimes it wants to save the output as an mov file, but that is literally only a name problem.

Standard creation date is November 24, 2025 That is when this index file went live, If its not standard, it is when that particular film was uploaded, That is, it will always be later than standard
