Magic Kingdom

Some of the pages in this trip report are up to my old standards, some are not. This one is one of the ones that is not. But, this has taken forever to get posted, and better this than nothing.

So, some freeform text, and a handful of pictures. And, I still have one more trip to write about!!

Rode on: HM (1), TTA (4), train(2), Space (1), BTMR (1), POTC (1), Tiki (1), Jungle (1), Philharmagic (1), Liberty Bell(1), Autotopia (1), Laugh Floor (1), Stitch (1), Astro Orbiter (1), Country Bear (1).

it's funny. Some of th best thijgs turn out to be the animatronic "shows", even if you have seen them several times. Not everything funpicks you up and throws you around.

Hot and muggy most of the day, but in the eneninng it really broke up. Got cooler and dryer. No rain all day.

Busieset crowds of the week so far. Substantial most of the day, broke up a little after supper. Still not the worst we've ever seen, but definitely taxing.

Dinner at Liberty Tree is still very good. Do miss the characters, but that is life. The food is wonderful. the only food change seems to be that apple cobbler is the desert. It was very good, the vanilla ice cream especially. That may ahve been a dining plan thing, I do recall a choice of deserts before. The ham wih honey mustard, spiced roast beef, mashed potatos, macaroni and cheese, green beans were all just terrrific. This may have been the most Nick ate at any meal so far. The turkey was a tiny bit dry. Service and atmosphere are wonderfu. It was kind of loud and crowded, for some reason this day was really busy at the park. An excellent meal.

Luch was at Pecos Bills. There was some weird stuff about only one door being used for the entrance (the building has many egress ports), not letting people intor the dining area until they had already picked up their food. Seems like these changes really accomplish nothing but making folks mad. Maybe a fire marshall thing (did they get busted?) Not good, regardless.

I had BBQ pork sandwich, was glad I did. Very good. Debbie and Nick both had burgers, and enjoyed them. Carrot cake was good. Better than other plastic wrapped deserts. I do remember
counter service deserts that looked like they were made at WDW, instead of some factory in Texas. A good meal, overall, though. If we were not on the meal plan, we would not have deserts at lunch, especially with these changes.

Debbie almost all day was with us, up until welll after dinner. Did most of the rides with us, but never did make space this trip.

Ride home ws brutal. Had to stand, first time this trip. Debbie said the same. Really a busy park day.

Nick and I closed the place.

What can I say about HM? Still my favorite ride, wish I could see better. Other than that, another perfect ride. Really packed, though, very crowded from shrinking room to ride load.

Another great ride on space. did not have my screaming virgin from the other day, though.

I do like the new management Tiki Room, but have to miss the original. Would rather have the original, if given the choice. But, this is fun and funny. That Tiki godess of destruction is something else.

I like the Liberty Bell. Debbie and Nick ahd a chance to sit down, i find it relaxing to just stare over the railing. A good place for a couple of photo ops.

The Country Bears is a fun, cute show. I still laugh at parts of it. A well done Disney animatronics tour de force.

Nick laughs all the way through Philharmagic. Debbie went with us this time. What a great show this is.

The Laugh Floor was very much like the second time, but very different thatn the first time. That is, the skeleton. There are still very specific interactions with guests, including one of the comedians mocking and imitating a face some guy made. A little hard to understand how they are doing that. Nick does think the off main actors (everyone but Roz and Mike) might be new people, as their voices were sublty different. Suggests Mike and Roz are on a straight script, but the others are CMs in a control booth. Not sure. Overall effect is very intriguing.

The astro orbiter is a nice little ride. the kind that sort of makes me nervous. But, fun and gorgeous views late at night.
