RMNAAFA's Essay Contest Rules

Essays must be autobiographical. Relating to a personal experience, feelings, thoughts, etc. regarding size acceptance and/or NAAFA. Short stories will not be accepted.

Essay contest is open to any member/subscriber in good standing, of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of NAAFA.

Essays must be submitted to a RMNAAFA board member, no later than, May 13, 2000 at the May business meeting. Results will be announced June 10, 2000 at the June business meeting.

Please include your name on a separate cover sheet. Your name must not be included in or on your essay. Essays are to be judged anonymously by a non-partial panel of judges. Failure to comply with this rule will result in disqualification.

Essays must not exceed two typed pages.

Participants agree to have all or part of their essay published in the RMNAAFA newsletter.

Rulings of the judges are final and are not open to debate or public criticism.

Prize money is non-transferable and to be used only for the 2000 National NAAFA Convention registration fee. Prize money will be turned in directly to national NAAFA.

Entrance in the essay contest implies understanding and compliance with all the above rules. Failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification.
