On Tuesday, April 20th, Rocky Mountain NAAFA participated in the Take BAck
the Night Rally, sponsored by Metro State's Institue For Women's Studies
and Services, and a host of other agencies to raise awareness and end violence
against women. RMNAAFA supports this because so many of our members are
women, and fat women in particlaur are often vicitimzed by society.
Attending from our chapter were JeanMarie, Dina , and Leslie. From the New England Chapter, Misty and Tamsen, and their children.
We heard serveral empowering speeches from legislators and citizen activists and inspiring music from the Denver Women's Choir. All in all, it was a memorable event.
