Magic Kingdom

This is not the best trip report I have ever done, but I simply had to get something finally finished and posted. Enjoy!

We got up about 8 AM. We got to MK at 10:45. Took the great boat ride again.

It was cold, but bright and dry. Very cold in the morning, but warming at midday.

Rode Walt Disney World around 1 1/3 times.

BTMR. 16 minutes to get on. Another great trip on the wildest ride in the wilderness.

Splash Mountain was actually closed from the cold.

Pecks Bills for lunch.

Nick and Debbie had bacon double cheeseburgers, I had a pulled pork sandwhich. The pork was quite good.

We stopped The Country Bear Jamboree. I really liked this fun little show. It's corny and cute.

We did HOP again. This is really a very good, inspirational show. I noticed that the presidents who are not talking still fidget during the speeches. I always thought that was a very realistic detail.

We hopped on The Liberty Belle for a short, relaxing little trip.
Then we had a wonerful ride on the Haunted Mansion. I will miss you most of all.

We stopped and bought one last HM t-shirt. Then, Nick and I went on Peter Pan. The sign said 50 minutes, and it was more like 59.

This is an old, but elegant ride. It is so simple, but conveys such a simple sense of wonder.

Stopped at Pinochhios for a pizza snack. It was OK, not bad.

Nick and I went on Space Mountain. Sign said 90 minutes. Was really 98 minutes.

The simple little video games in the space mountain q are a clever idea. You play the same two games several times. There are large screens, and simple controls, and you play with 3 to 8 other people.

Another fun, fast ride on Space Mountain. I love the darkness, the sense of speed, and the swirling lights.
Debbie went shopping on Main Street. Nick and I went to the Laugh Floor. And…

I was THAT GUY at The Laugh Floor!!

Dinner at Tony's Town Square Plaza was very enjoyable. I had the Chicken Parmagianna, which was between OK and good. Nick had the spaghetti and meatballs, which he really seemed to enjoy. Debie had the New York strip steak, whcih looked very good, and she enjoyed as well. The pistachio creme brulle (which Debbie and I both had) was wonderful. Nick had the the chef's singature cheesecake, which he said ws great.

We rode that wonderful boat back to the Wilderness Lodge.

And so I say a misty eyed good bye to the Magic Kingdom.
